A few juniors had questions regarding the Sunday phone message. The transcript is below. Please let me know if you have questions.
Hello SEarCH Families,
This is Mr. Peed with updates and information for the week of August 13th. On Monday, freshmen will begin the application process for official admission to Richmond Community College. All 9th grade students must have their Social Security number and current address with them on Monday to take part in this process.
Monday through Wednesday of this week, we will continue distributing Chromebooks to students at all grade levels. After Wednesday, Chromebooks will not be distributed again until Tuesday, August 21st. To pickup your Chromebook, you must turn in your completed Beginning of the Year folder which includes the agreement and Acceptable Use Policy. The fee for the Chromebook is $25.
Students, please be reminded that passwords for Google accounts are reset each year to the default password that consists of your month, day, and four digit year of your birthdate followed by the number 1 and an exclamation point. Do not add zeroes to one digit months or days.
Upperclassmen, be reminded that the Richmond Community College year begins on Thursday, August 16th. Juniors who have not been approved for early release or late start, should report to the Student Support Lab in LA A13 when they are not assigned to a college class. Student schedules for the Support Lab -- including ACT Prep -- will be available on Thursday.
Seniors and SuperSeniors may pickup their Open Campus Agreements when they return their completed Beginning of the Year folders to the office.
Finally, please remember that on any day you have a first period class -- high school or college -- you are required to be in Avinger for Morning Assembly. All other areas - including classrooms -- are off-limits until students have been released from Morning Assembly.
As always, thank you for all you do to make SEarCH great. Please like and follow us on Facebook, join our Remind app, and check out the school website.
