Our students met expected growth during the 2018-2019 school year.
We maintain a strong focus on the social-emotional, mental health and self-care needs of our students, staff and families.
School-wide practices are embedded to ensure connections are made with every
child (or family), every day.
Every teacher is held accountable for employing exemplary instructional practices on a daily basis.
Early intervention is a high priority. A multi-tiered system of support is provided with fidelity.
Our state-of-the-art media center is equipped with a green screen, maker-spaces,
lego tables, coding kits, drones and robots. We also have 2 book machines and a
fully equipped STEAM lab.
All learning spaces are outfitted with smart tvs, swivels and flexible seating.
Students have a variety of leadership opportunities: Student Council, Beta Club, The Gems,
The GATOR Academy, Gator Helpers and PBIS Gators of the Month.
Our Pursuits:
We are working towards PBIS Model school distinction from the state of NC.
We will continue to pursue grants to add new and emerging technology to our learning spaces and labs.
We are actively recruiting innovative and highly qualified educators to add to our team.
We will create new opportunities that empower our students and families as leaders within
the school community.
We will continue to incorporate structures, strategies and processes to ensure our
students exceed expected growth.
