PBIS is a positive behavior intervention and support system that holds teachers & students accountable for creating a positive environment to learn, grow, & develop. For the 2018-19 school year, we are continuing our commitment to PBIS by providing faculty and staff with resources, support, & visual aids that will assist in implementing PBIS to its fullest capacity!
During the first 10 days of school, our teachers will utilize time with the students to familiarize our JETS with the PBIS expectations in all areas of the school. Teachers will take students on tours of the building to review expectations, engage in classroom discussions, & complete activities that will allow students time to practice & role play the PBIS matrix. The more practice our students have with these expectations the better!
This year we will also be utilizing Class Dojo to track your child's behavior throughout the day. Parents, you can download Class Dojo to your smartphone & be instantly connected to your child's classroom for up-to-date notifications on how their day & behavior are progressing.
