Mia Jackson Announcement

Mia Jackson Wins State/National Recognition

Ms. Mia Jackson, an EC Facilitator for Spring Hill Middle School, was presented with one of only five Distinguished Service Awards presented on Wednesday, May 11th, during a luncheon held by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction(NCDPI) Exceptional Children's Directors May Institute. The event was held at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, NC.  The Distinguished Service Award is presented every two years. The Award serves as both National and State recognition. Just over 100 awards have been presented to educators across the nation since its inception in 2000. The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction selected only five recipients from all PSUs (public and charters) to receive this esteemed recognition for 2022. Ms. Jackson received her award from Ms. Sherry H. Thomas, State Director, and Matt Hoskins, Assistant Director. Congratulations to Ms. Mia Jackson for accomplishing this high honor.
