• A bus is the safest form of transportation and we encourage all students to ride.  We transport 3800 students daily-- totaling over a million miles a year.  We have 75 buses and all are equipped with two-way radios, cameras and GPS systems.

Hand Signals: It is required by the State of North Carolina that all bus drivers use hand signals when students are boarding and exiting a bus.  This information can be found under "NC Bus Laws and Crossing Procedures".

Behavior and Discipline: Speak with your student about appropriate behavior on the bus.  All discipline issues are handled by the schools.

Parent Problems: A parent of a Pre-K-2nd grade student must be visible at the assigned bus stop location (not inside the house) before the student is allowed off the bus.  If the student has an older sibling riding, the parent still must be visible.  If a parent is not visible, the student(s) will be returned to their school.  This could result in your student receiving a bus referral.

Changing an Address:  The school has to be notified anytime you change your home address or bus stop address.  This can be done by filling out a Transportation Request form at the school.  A driver will not take the student to a different address without having an updated Transportation Form.

Bus Stops:  We do corner stops, mid-block stops, and house stops depending on the location.  Our buses do not travel down dirtroads that are not state maintained or travellable.  The student must meet at the end of the dirtroad.

Locate Bus Stop Information: Use this link to determine school eligilbility.  This will give you an idea of the bus number and the stop times. These times are an estimate and are subject to change.  We only provide bus transportation to the school associated with your home address.
