Mass Screenings and Screenings Requested by Teachers:
Each school year, the Scotland County Schools School Nurse Health Team conducts hearing and vision screenings for students. The purpose of these screenings is to identify any possible issues that could be a deterrent to the student's educational performance. Should a student need additional testing, the school nurse will send a note home.
Opt-out option: If you do not wish for your child to participate in health screenings, you must notify your child's school in writing.
